When I heard Scout's scream I knew they were in trouble. I knew there was not that much time left by the sound of their screams. I ran as fast as I could and I got there within seconds...faster than I thought. Its been roughly thirty years since ive seen the day light outside of my old crappy house. But I knew what I had to do so I got up and helped out. Poor Jem, breaking his arm I wish I could have gotten there sooner to stop it but I couldnt. The most important thing though is no one got badly wounded, besides the unlucky Mr. Ewell that I had no choice but to plung my knife under his rib cage. The outside world is just too much for me, I would never be able to fit in. Why, it was hard enough just standing in a corner of Jems room. I must say I do envy those who can live their lives and exist in peace. I envy, Mr. Finch and his children, Dr. Reynolds, and even Nathan for being able to see and interact with people and the world. I am to continue to watch and long for what I cannot have. To provide those who are so far apart with what I can offer. I am to continue to play the mockingbird.
